”TOMORROW IS HERE” has been the mantra of the current administration in Enugu State from inception, what are the implications? It seems we are already enjoying our tomorrow which is billed to finish in eight years, is that when we will realize that our future is gone?
Citizens of Enugu State, it is a high time we wake up and stop this administration from squandering our dear future. We cannot pretend that we are not aware that all the money collected as high and exorbitant revenue/taxation goes into one pocket, instead of using it to better the lives of people in Enugu, they are used to repay debts of one person.
As at March 2025, the domestic debt of south east states are as stated:
Abia - 48b
Anambra - 28b
Ebony - 17b
Enugu - 188b
IMO - 122b
Enugu State’s debt rose from 82b in Q1 2024 to 188b in Q1 2025, indicating a rise of 105b or 128% Enugu also posted the most significant quarterly growth, adding roughly 69b between December 2024 and March 2025, the highest in the south east.
Between 2023 and 2025, Enugu State FAAC Allocation summed up to approximately 262b. Enugu State generated 180b from revenue in 2024 and is currently expected to generate about 800b from revenue in 2026. How many industries have been established in Enugu since 2023 that will generate this revenue? How many new jobs have this government created? Same poor masses will be squeezed further? How many will be buried before the end of this regime? We have to take back our destiny.
I said earlier that our tomorrow is billed to finish in eight years. Are we going to allow this? Enough is enough! Let’s take back our state in 2027. The current administration should not be allowed to mortgage out future and finish our tomorrow. Be ready with your PVC and vote out this government.
